Wood-fired ceramics and linocut prints by present and past College Resident Artists Joseph Bull and Robin Wilson, with Harriet Coleridge (Oxford University Kiln Project) and Rosie Fairfax-Cholmeley (Wytham Woods).
Dr Robin Wilson runs the Oxford University Kiln Project, an anthropological research project with wood-firing anagama kilns at Wytham Woods. Joseph Bull and Harriet Coleridge are two of the potters Robin works with on this project and all the ceramics here is either wood-fired in the kilns at Wytham or uses wood ash glazes developed with the project using ash from specific varieties of trees at Wytham, or both.
Robin and Rosie Fairfax-Cholmeley set up The Wytham Studio, where they run arts-based research such as the kiln Project and work as an active print studio. The prints on display here relate to both Harris Manchester College and Wytham Woods.
