New Research Centre opens in China

HMC Fellow, Prof. Ronald A. Roy is one of the founding Principal Investigators of a new research institute, Oxford’s first overseas centre for research in physical and engineering sciences. The Oxford-Suzhou Center for Advanced Research (OSCAR) celebrated its grand opening on 28th November. Based in the Suzhou Industrial Park in Jiangsu, China, its initial 5-year programme will be led by Oxford specialists in Engineering Science, Physics, Chemistry and Materials across a range of fields including Biomedical Engineering and Healthcare, Environment and Biotechnology, Nanotechnology and Functional Materials, and Mathematical and Quantitative Finance.
