Two fellows of the Commercial Law Centre are appointed QC Honoris Causa
The Commercial Law Centre at Harris Manchester College is delighted to announce that Professor Louise Gullifer (director of the Centre) and Professor Michael Bridge (Senior Research Fellow at the Centre) have been appointed honorary QCs. QCs are appointed by The Queen, on the advice of the Lord Chancellor. She is in turn advised by an independent Selection Panel which receives and considers each application and makes recommendations as to appointment. The Lord Chancellor will preside over the appointment ceremony, where the rank will be formally bestowed upon successful applicants, at Westminster Hall on 26 February 2018.
Professor Gullifer has been Fellow and Tutor in Law at Harris Manchester since 2000, and has contributed to many leading texts on commercial law subjects, some of which have been co-written with Professor Bridge, who is emeritus Cassel Professor of Commercial Law at the London School of Economics. Both have been actively involved in the development of commercial law in the UK and internationally for many years.
Congratulations to both on this high honour.
