College Open Days

Harris Manchester College encourages all prospective applicants to attend an Open Day at the College if possible. This gives applicants a chance to see the college, learn about admissions procedures and the rewards and problems of returning to full-time study, as well as having discussions with individual subject tutors. If you are unable to attend an Open Day and would like to have informal discussion with the Admissions Tutor before applying please telephone the Tutor for Admissions, Victoria Lill ( for an appointment. The College will next be hosting an Open Days on the following dates:

  • 3rd July 2019
  • 4th July 2019
  • 20th September 2019

Please note that booking will be required for any of the open days. To book a place please send an email to providing details of the subject you are interested inapplying for.

12.30pm-1.00pm Coffee available in Main Corridor
1.00pm-1.30pm Lunch in the Dining Hall
1.45pm-2.15pm A tour of the Library with the College Librarians
Returning to Study by the Senior Tutor
Applications and Finance by the Tutor for Admissions
3.15pm-4.00pm Talks with the subject tutors


Tours of the College with a current student will be leaving periodically from the front foyer from 9.30am-5.00pm.

10:00am – 1:00pm The Tutor for Admissions, Victoria Lill, will be available in the Examination Schools (see on the stall for Mature Students to field enquiries from prospective students.
3:00pm – 5:00pm The Tutor for Admissions, Victoria Lill, will be available in College (Academic Office) to meet prospective students

Visitors will be free to attend any Departmental Open Days they would like to book into in the mornings, or to visit other colleges on the day.

Visitors attending Open Days at other colleges are welcome to visit Harris Manchester also.

Oxbridge Event for Mature Students

Saturday, 14 September 2019, 1.30 pm – 4.00 pm

Are you currently about to start an Access Course? Or you are an adult learner at a Further Education college curious about your options after you’ve completed your course?

Harris Manchester College, Oxford and the four mature Colleges at Cambridge – Lucy Cavendish, Hughes Hall, St Edmunds, Wolfson – will be hosting an admissions event for prospective mature students (21+) who are interested in applying to Oxford or Cambridge. The event will include information about studying at Oxford or Cambridge, the application process and an opportunity to meet with Fellows, Admission Tutors and students.

This event will take place at Harris Westminster Sixth Form, Steel House, 11 Tothill Street, London, SW1H 9LH. (Nearest tube stations are St James’ Park and Westminster.)
