Eric Eve is a Fellow and Tutor in Theology. He has been elected University Assessor for the Proctorial Year March 2010 — March 2011.
Dr Eve graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford with a degree in Engineering Science. He returned to Oxford to study Theology at Harris Manchester College, where he gained a second BA, an MSt and a DPhil.
Theology
Dr Eve's doctoral thesis was on The Jewish Context of Jesus' Miracles, an expanded version of which was published by Sheffield Academic Press (in July 2002). Since then he has continued to write on the miracles in the Gospels and on aspects of the Synoptic Problem. He is currently writing a book on the oral tradition behind the Gospels.
Dr Eve teaches New Testament in the University and and is responsible for the tuition of theology students at Harris Manchester.
