Harris Manchester College was delighted to welcome a group of students and tutors from Manchester-based Unitarian College on 3 September.
Unitarian College is a national college that provides training, education and development for all Unitarians, including ministry students, lay Leaders, adults and young people.
The two institutions enjoy a close relationship due to their role as the only two colleges to train people for the Unitarian ministry in the UK.
Attending the visit was Harris Manchester’s incoming Tutor for Ministerial Studies, the Revd David Usher, who himself attended the then-Manchester College from 1977 to 1981 and went on to become a college governor from 1986 to 1990.
Harris Manchester Principal Dr Beth Breeze OBE commented: “It was a joy to welcome visitors from the Unitarian College to Harris Manchester. Our Unitarian origins are kept alive in our ongoing commitment to support the training of candidates for ordination as well as lay ministers, and I'm delighted that this work will now be led by our new Tutor for Ministerial Studies, the Revd David Usher.”
