Launch of Peter Harrison's new book on religion and science

HMC was delighted to welcome back to the college, from Australia, Professor Peter Harrison, to launch his new book, Some New World: Myths of Supernatural Belief in a Secular Age, published by Cambridge University Press this spring. The book is based on Professor Harrison's Bampton Lectures, which were delivered in the University Church in Oxford in spring 2019. 

Professor Harrison was formerly Idreos Professor in Science and Religion at Oxford, and a Fellow of HMC. It was a delight to welcome two other past Idreos Professors to the book launch, John Hedley Brooke (first holder of the Chair) and Alister McGrath, along with many other friends and colleagues.
