The Upton Lecture was first established in 1921 following a bequest from Professor Charles Barnes Upton (pictured above), who taught philosophy at the College.
It was revived in 2021, with recent speakers including the writer Jeanette Winterson and ceramicist Edmund de Waal.
The 2026 lecture will be delivered by Marc Schulz, Professor of Psychology at Bryn Mawr College, who is currently an academic visitor at The Wellbeing Research Centre, based at Harris Manchester.
More details will follow.
