The College is delighted to announce the appointment of the Rev. Dr. Claire MacDonald FRSA as our new Tutor for Ministerial Studies from 2022-23. She is the Unitarian Minister for Lewisham Unity in Catford, and has extensive experience of the arts and higher education. She has worked especially in the area of performance, founding theatres and teaching at universities in both the USA and Britain, including De Montfort University and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Dr MacDonald will be working with colleagues at Harris Manchester to ensure that we have a vibrant and innovative Unitarian ministerial training programme.

Of her appointment, Claire writes: “I am thrilled to have been appointed as the new Unitarian ministry tutor at Harris Manchester. It is not only the college where I trained as a minister, but a place whose commitment to inclusion and diversity is matched by its commitment to creativity and innovation. It’s wonderful to feel that I too will be part of shaping its future.”

We look forward to welcoming Claire to the College this autumn.
