Harris Manchester welcomes new Visiting Fellow

Harris Manchester College is delighted to welcome a new Visiting Fellow.

Mike Chessler graduated in English and American Literature from Harvard University and went on to study Italian literature at Università degli Studi di Firenze. Subsequently, his career has taken in writing, producing and developing television series for some of the biggest networks in the US.

Most recently, he was the author of the 2025 novel Mess, which one reviewer has described as “a funny, sharp-eyed, finely observed, and precise satire of Hollywood and all the things we collect and covet”.

Mike joins the College's other current Visiting Fellows: Professor Bev Clack; the Rev Dr Colin Bossen; the Rev Dr Meg Richardson; and the Rev Dr Martin Wellings.
