Recent alumnus Mustafaen Kamal (BA Theology and Religion, 2017) has been awarded a Frank Knox Memorial Fellowship at Harvard University.

The Fellowship is awarded to between 3 and 6 UK students each year and provides a 150% scholarship to study at Harvard University on one of their postgraduate programs. The scholarship is decided after considering "future promise of leadership and a devotion to the democratic ideal”.

Musty is pursuing an LLM at Harvard Law School. In addition to his time at Harris Manchester, he has previously studied at the LSE (Philosophy and Economics) and undertook a Laidlaw Fellowship at Cambridge. Outside the classroom Musty has founded two social enterprises in Pakistan (Dil Internship Project) and the UK (Close the Lockdown Gap) which aim to tackle inequalities in employment and education respectively.
