On Friday 31 May, the new Chancellor of the University of Oxford, Lord Hague of Richmond, visited Harris Manchester College.
Lord Hague, who was admitted as Oxford’s 160th Chancellor in February, attended a drinks reception ceremony and dinner at HMC alongside his wife, Dame Ffion Hague, who has been an Honorary Fellow at the College since 2010 and was appointed a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 2024 Birthday Honours for public service and services to business.
During the course of the evening the Chancellor and Dame Ffion Hague met HMC’s Principal, Professor Jane Shaw, as well as members of the College’s Governing Body and student and staff community.
