First contact with HMC
I first came across HMC in 2012 through an event at HMC. Former Principal Sir Ralph Waller was a true gentleman and I connected with him instantly. To this day, I still value our friendship. My visit to the College left a lasting impression, thanks to its perfect blend of historic charm and modern sophistication. I was struck by the College's warm and inclusive atmosphere, as well as its dedication to academic excellence, which inspires students to push boundaries and pursue their passions.
Regents' achievement of which I am most proud
I take immense pride in sponsoring students from Africa, a continent that has profoundly shaped my life. By providing them with opportunities, I believe we can transform not only their lives but also the lives of their families, creating a lasting impact. Education, in my view, is the most powerful gift we can offer to empower future generations and shape a brighter tomorrow.
A message for students
The advice I have for students of HMC and future applicants is that "business as usual" is the unusual in today's world. To survive and excel, it's all about lifelong learning.
