College opening for Oxford Open Doors

Saturday 10 September, 11am - 4pm

Harris Manchester will be opening to the general public as part of Oxford Preservation Trust’s Open Doors weekend. Visitors will be able to explore:

  • The College Chapel – with 'gem-like' stained glass by Morris & Burne-Jones.
  • The Arlosh Hall – the College’s 1913 dining hall – historic location of planning for the D-Day landings 
  • The College gardens
  • The Tate Library
  • Ash, Ember, Flame: a Japanese Kiln in Oxford - a special exhibition of ceramics from Oxford University Kilns’ Anagama kiln, alongside items from the College’s own collection of 20th century British studio ceramics
