The subject of our 2025 Manchester Lecture will be the Worthingtons, the Manchester-based family firm of architects that was responsible for designing and building the main college quad between 1889 and 1893, as well as many other buildings in Oxford and the North of England – and whose founder, Thomas Worthington, was a committed social reformer.
William Whyte, Professor of Social and Architectural History at the University of Oxford and a Fellow at St John's College, will deliver the lecture. We will publish more details shortly.
