Whether it is world-class research centres or the highly diverse nature of our Fellows’ academic interests, research and scholarship at Harris Manchester play a central role College life. Reflecting our varied and intergenerational student body, the research that takes place here is often interdisciplinary, seeking to engage with the world in practical ways. And many of our Fellows and tutors share another important trait with our students: a significant number have come to academia later in life, after real-life experience in other careers. Whatever their background, everyone at HMC shares a belief in the wider benefits that are generated by research.
The Wellbeing Research Centre is an interdisciplinary research group focused on the empirical study of wellbeing and publishes the annual World Happiness Report.
