Vanessa Knapp (Senior Research Fellow at Harris Manchester College) is a Visiting Professor at Queen Mary University of London and an Honorary Professor at Brunel University. She was a corporate partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for many years. She is the Chair of an independent expert panel to advise the UK government on corporate redomiciliation. She is a member and past Chair of the City of London Law Society Company Law Committee and of the Company Law Committee of the Council and Bars of the Law Societies of Europe. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the European Academy of Law. She was a member of the EU Informal Commission Legal Expert Group on company law.
